I wasted my youth
on pills and booze.
Never finished school,
everyone thinks I'm a fool.
But that's not the way I see it in my head,
or have I gone crazy?
Why do I seem to lose the things that matter most?
Life is such a joke.
Though I try to make amends, always comes to the same end:
It's all my fault.
I walk a different path,
not afraid of God's wrath.
The thought of prayer makes me laugh.
Better focus on your craft.
Everything that we want in life is here right now,
we just have to take it.
Let your guard down enough to meet someone you love,
you won't have to fake it!
Though I try to speak my mind, always comes to the same line:
It's not your fault.
Try to keep yourself on track,
eyes ahead, no looking back.
Forgive yourself for your mistakes,
your happiness is just misplaced.
No regrets, just fun, let your shadow run,
know you've found yourself again
when you want to be your friend.
